Leapfrog Leadership

Equity and diversity research

Losing experienced and talented employees costs organisations money, but losing women employees also reduces gender diversity and the ability of organisations to meet the requirements of a diverse customer base.

Successful organisations understand the importance of removing the barriers that hinder the progress of women.

Leapfrog can help organisations identify and address the problems women are facing, including dealing with harassment and bullying, advising on appropriate use of part-time work, assisting women with career plans and negotiations for career advancement and surveying organisations to identify gender-based expectations.

Positive work cultures are required to help individuals attain meaningful levels of achievement and enjoyment at work.  Embedding ethical values in organisational behaviour requires leaders to translate values related to equity and diversity into instructions, guidance and effective control and assurance systems.

The importance of balancing work and personal responsibilities becomes even more crucial at senior levels as the choices made by senior executives between meeting commitments at work and meeting commitments outside work establish a work-life balance culture for the rest of the organisation.  Getting work-life balance right is particularly significant for women employees.

Leapfrog Leadership's consultants help organisations identify the work-life balance culture of their organisation, and assist all staff achieve a satisfactory balance.

Leapfrog can help organisations foster and sustain cultures based on equality and diversity, and work with leaders to develop good judgement in the application of these values in their everyday duties.
